I would have appreciated honesty at the beginning. My a/c was working for literally 2 days before it stopped working and when I call back all of a sudden there is a $500+ fee to bring it back and fix after I already spent $150, confirming I was all set. Claiming you told me about it but all you did was, staple what you called a "detail report" attached behind my bill that "didn't mean much." Why do you think people don't trust mechanic shops? Cant just fix things with out another fee added on top of that because ya'll couldn't get it right the first time. WAIST OF TIME, WAIST OF MONEY & VERY DISHONEST.
Jasmin, thank you for your comments. During our investigation into your vehicle, we pointed out and gave you written confirmation, as part of your invoice, not stapled to it, that you had a code showing the possibility that your A/C compressor would stop working should the check engine light relating to the engine thermostat and seal return. You declined this but we clearly stated if the code returned this would be the situation. You declined additional work at the time your vehicle was in the shop. When the a/c stopped blowing cold again and you called, the service writer gave you a price for the previously recommended repair (which you declined). We have copied below the technician note embedded in your invoice addressing this condition. Unfortunately the vehicle is designed to shut down the A/C compressor when the thermostat fails, as a safeguard, and this is what happened in your case. In our opinion this was not a "trust" issue. You were informed in writing of the options and declined the service, which is completely your choice. TECHNICIAN NOTE ADDRESSING CUSTOMER CONCERN: After inspection of A/C system the following was noted. Refrigerant was low. Topped off refrigerant to General Motors specification. Courtesy scan the vehicle. Codes for thermostat below the threshold. Cleared the code. Compressor started working. If code return compressor will stop working. Recommend replacement of engine thermostat and seal. Customer DECLINED. Replaced A/C valve core high and low side. Customer DECLINED all other recommendations
