If 6 stars were an option I would give a 6+ star rating. I was visiting from Gilbert, AZ and needed emergency service before going home. I was greeted by Jimmy and immediately set at ease with his genuine smile and pleasant demeanor. I explained the issues and they did a comprehensive inspection and advised on how to proceed and offered assurance that my concerns could be addressed after returning home. If you need emergency service while visiting the area, look no further.

I had an awesome experience at Sierra auto repair from my first phone call with Scott/Service Mgr. to deliver discuss the issues with my Mazda, Miata MX 5. Scott was courteous and professional. He listened attentively. We verbally discussed the issues I was having with my vehicle security system, and not being able to start my vehicle. I made an appointment to come in to have my vehicle inspected and a diagnostic on the vehicle if required. I was very pleased that the anticipated cost of the repairs were far bellow what I had anticipated . In the past I have been overcharged and taken advantage of when getting my car repaired. I am very pleased to say that if you are someone who doesn’t have much experience with a vehicle repair, you can indeed trust Sierra auto repair. They will not overcharge you, Scott will share you the facts of their findings. I was very pleased with the outcome of the repairs of my vehicle. Also, the interaction that I had with everyone on their team was positive, and everyone greeted me with a smile, courtesy and respect. I would, 1,000# recommend “ Sierra Auto Repair”. I was so pleased with the service, that I have other auto repair request that I am going to trust my auto repair with them. If they know what’s wrong, they will tell you. if there are test that need to be performed ,they tell you. You will be aware of the cost of any diagnostic test, and get a quote on any repair that need to be performed. There is no surprise, surprise, additional cost to the quote that they give you. You, the customer are made a part of the process from start to finish. Thank you to Scott & Team, for a Stellar Customer Services Experience! FANTASTIC service from Scott and his team! I got my car seen after the transmission died and they kept me updated throughout the entire time they had it. It even came out lower in cost than originally anticipated, which was great! Great crew and wonderful service, I could not recommend them enough!

Update: After seeing the owners poor excuse at attempting to redirect blame, I stand by my statement that the service conducted was NOT explained over the phone, nor was a price given. Only a reference of a price required for the necessary refrigerant (not given due to "needing to do math conversions). Disappointed in the misleading information and lack of straightforward costs given. Was led to believe service would be minimal (AC refrigerant refill) only to find out there was an extra 195 dollar charge added on for something not mentioned over the phone. Will never return here again and will not recommend anyone else to do so either.

We are sorry you were disappointed in the HVAC service you received for your twenty year old Mazda rotary vehicle. We are not sure what the minimal service you expected would be. It is true we did not simply plug an A/C machine to your vehicle and start pumping refrigerant into it. Without inspecting an A/C system which includes applying and holding vacuum to confirm no leaks are present, and at the same time removing all moisture from the system; and reducing any remaining refrigerant to zero in order that the exact amount of refrigerant specified by the manufacturer can be accurately added to ensure the system will cool according to the design. In addition, with so many do it yourselfers adding a store bought refrigerant kit with sealant, the system must be tested to verify fugitive sealant is not present (fugitive sealant can destroy an $8k A/C machine with just one service). No customer will be prepared to pay for a replacement machine even if they added the sealant and failed to notify the shop. The argument would be the shop failed to use due diligence to determine whether or not the system had the sealant. In our case we use due diligence. Likewise if the system is not checked for leaks and refrigerant is simply added to the system and a leak is present, customers get upset because now the expensive refrigerant leaks out and the shop is on the hook to explain why the system wasn’t checked for leaks and the leak source(s) identified at the time of service. This also scores a one star review. As a final comment on the issue of pulling the vacuum and removing any residual refrigerant, without removing the refrigerant, how is one to know how much new refrigerant should be added to bring the system to specification? DIYers simply have no clue when adding refrigerant from cans purchased from a parts store. The proper procedures to service an A/C system require time, provided by a trained and certified technician, and expensive equipment. There was no $195 charge for something we did not mention over the phone. Our A/C service complies with industry standards and a complete A/C service was provided to your Mazda. When it left our facility it was cooling to designed specifications and should give you comfortable driving for several years in the future. We sincerely apologize for not providing the minimal service you expected. We feel certain with a deeper search, you will be able to find this type of service at other facilities in town.
